The Doozie Educator works with schools, MATs, colleges and youth organisations who want to move beyond “behaviour management” and build cultures of belonging, consistency and respect.
I specialise in secondary and alternative provision, but my approach supports anyone working directly with children and young people.
Interactive, relatable training sessions that give staff practical, relational tools for working with behaviour.
Examples of sessions include:
Behaviour as Communication: Seeing the Story Behind the Behaviour
Belonging Before Behaviour: Building Culture Through Relationships
Working with Disengaged Boys
Repair, Re-Entry & Restoring Trust
Relational Practice in SEMH and Alternative Provision
Format:
60-90 minute twilights
Half-day or full INSET sessions
In-person (West Midlands & beyond) or online
Space for staff to reflect, reset and grow their relational practice.
This can include:
1:1 coaching for teachers, TAs, behaviour or pastoral leads
small-group coaching around behaviour, relationships and self-regulation
support for early career teachers or those new to challenging settings
We focus on real situations, not theory for theory’s sake - so staff leave with scripts, plans and confidence.
Targeted support for schools and MATs who want to strengthen behaviour and relationships at a strategic level.
This can include:
behaviour and culture reviews
observations and feedback
reviewing policies through a relational lens
supporting behaviour leads and SLT with next steps
designing a relational practice rollout plan
The aim is simple: fewer removals, stronger relationships, clearer culture.
I share my journey from “unruly student” to educator and consultant, and explore what it really means to build relationship-led practice in the current education climate.
Available for:
conferences and education events
MAT and Trust-wide training days
panel discussions on behaviour, belonging, race, SEMH and alternative provision
guest sessions for ITT, ECT programmes or universities
